If you were bidding on item and someone contacted you and told you that the item was stolen.Would you ignore the notice,continue to bid,retract your bid or notify the seller?

As in the case of the teacher that allegedly stole the jacket or the situation where there is a thief marooned among us.
In the case of the jacket the mother did tell one of the bidders and they told the seller.
