Dear X

What do you do when you know a fellow ebayer is being dishonest in their auction descriptions? For instance, one ebayer I know lists things as "NWOT" when I know it has been used. How do I know?, she has posted pictures of her daughter wearing the clothing in groups. Further, she charges high shipping of $10, for something that costs her less than $5 to ship. Some of her buyers must know this now, seeing one posted as such in feedback, but as a fellow ebayer, what do I do? As a designer, I would not want my work being thought of poorly, and being misleadingly labeled as "new", and as a buyer, I do not want to spend my hard-earned funds on something I thought was new, but has wash-wear, etc.

X,
Do you or your readers ever think twice about bidding on clothing that is photographed on floors that are not covered?

Have you ever

Been in such a FUNK where nothing is interesting, nothing tastes good, you have no ambition
and yet you have a million things to do...Could be what My problem is. I am trying to get back into the swing of things and cant get myself to the computer. Maybe my son , by limiting me of the computer time was able to cure me of my computer addiction. It's not just that I feel bored it is more overwhelming... overwhelmed. I have a 4 day show coming up labor day weekend. In Missouri, and 3 more in the month of September. My purse guy is heading to Oklahoma for the state fair there and then on to Arizona. But at our fair now.

SO what IUD am going to do is wee wee thru the emails and delete anything pre august 20th. NOT cuz I didn't like you BUT because I like me and dont want to make myself look like a nincompoop when I print features weeks old. I just want to get back to being current with features

Looks like it is time for LOTS of new features and news and I will have an empty mail box ready to roll. I will look for something funny on youtube to brighten up the day.....

DIY decoupage jeans

points to ponder

Why, Why, Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

And my FAVORITE......
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

I think its me!

Your about to get stupified

Spectacular Accessories for Girls of All Ages

As my little girl started to grow up, she made it clear to me that she needed a change from bows to something a little more, well..."grown-up". I know many other moms who also feel the sadness when their “not-so-little” girl suddenly won’t wear her pigtail bows anymore.
Thus, the idea of Emma's Style was born!

Emma's Style brings you an array of custom headbands, clips and pony designs that are elegant, sparkling, sophisticated, colorful and whimsical. I am always on the hunt for fabulous ribbons, trims and embellishments to create Emma's Style's stunning collections.

I planned the release of this new branch of Emma Saxton Studios over a year ago and I am so excited that the time to share my newest accessory passion with you is here.

Stop by on August 6th to see the first five collections:
www.emmasaxton.com/emmasstyle.html

Look for a new Emma's Style release each month!

Promotions for August
  • In honor of the debut of Emma's Style, shipping will be FREE on all orders at www.emmasaxton.com for the entire month of August!
  • Emma's Style is in need a slogan or catch phrase. I am looking for a simple phrase...something that will catch the attention of school age girls. I will accept slogan suggestions for the next few weeks. The winning submission will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to use on the website.

THE MIND

I am back!!!

Can a blog survive its writer being gone for so long??? I paid $300 to have internet in my booth at the fair but was so busy I never got the chance to do much online. Everytime I would get into doing a post or something I would get a customer. SO .......

what a trip home I thought we would breeze thru it BUT mother nature had other ideas. I had 20 minutes of driving thru violent thunderstorm . Lightening 60 mph wnd and sheets of rain and hail. I pulled off and stayed at econo lodge for the night. When we woke up the next morning there were power lines down, and a semi truck rolled over on its side. I have driven thru lots of storms , blizzards, but this one scared me enough to pull off.

BUt we are back and getting used to being home again for a few weeks and then we leave for Missouri...until then getting back to the old grind.

How to get to Sesame STREET. I will be singing that in my sleep for months to come...As the "veggie tale and kids songs" continue to replay over and over and over....in the booth on the corner.... Can you say it is closing time yet?? Day 4 of 12 UGH I am tired.

Finally here

I don't have much time.....We left at 7 pm, my son had an ear infection when we left. He had gotten an rx for drops BUT by the time we got 6 hours into the trip we were looking for an emergency room. Flagged a highway patrol on the Illinois tollway, who sent us to Rockford Hospital. 3 hours in there and a tube in his ear and a bottle of $70 antibiotics, MORE EARDROPS and we are on the road again thru Chicago during Morning rush hour UGH with NO sleep. Got to our destination about 3 pm next day...Set up show got to bed at Midnight slept until 6 am and had to be up bright and early for the first of 12/ 10 hour days at Wisconsin state fair.

I am going to get a chance to get to the features tomorrow. we just got internet in our booth today.
